Thank you so much for purchasing the ZUS Smart Vehicle Health Monitor. The device diagnoses and pulls data from the vehicle using OBD II protocols and, as you may not know, car manufacturers, apply different kinds of OBD II protocols in different makes and models.
Delay upon Connection
We set the device to read your vehicle data only after it detects your car's battery voltage at a certain value, this takes up some time in the initialization.
During the initialization, you will get the on-screen prompt showing that the device is trying out protocols and that may take up to 1-2 mins for the App to actually start reading your vehicle's data.
Delay while in Use
Most of the data on the dashboard comes from the OBD interface. As different vehicles apply different protocols, their ECU's computing power is different. Consequently, the data returning rate is different. In some cases, it may take up to one second to receive one package of data, which will cause the display on the dashboard to delay.
In addition, if you have used the Tiles dashboard, you may have noticed that the more data selected, the lower the frequency of each data item is updated.
However, we are continuously working on how to improve and level up the frequency.
