You may have noticed that on the Mileage page, there's a coin icon with a certain amount on the top right corner of each trip.
The amount is the so-called trip value, standing for each trip's mileage rates, which can be used for the tax deduction. When a trip is successfully recorded, our system will automatically calculate its value in accordance with the mileage and local tax rates. And if the trip is not classified, the coin icon will be a dotted-lined one, which means the potential value. If it is classified as Business, Charity, Medical or Moving, the coin icon will be a solid-lined one, which means the logged value and can be found in Drive Details > Value Logged.
But sometimes, you might get a '0' in the trip value, that's because the mileage calculation is based on local car expenses regulations. (You may check your country's regulation through the government taxation website) If your mileage exceeded the maximum claiming for the year, the trip's value will show "0". For example, users in Australia are allowed to claim 5,000 business kilometers of car expenses per car each year. Mileage will show "0" in the surpassed trips for users who set the mileage region into AU.
