Looking back at 3 months ago, we just rolled out the Automatic Logging feature to help our users log their trips without owning a device. More detailed content can be found here. And recently, we've optimized and tuned the algorithm to improve the logging accuracy in the latest rollout, which ensures that most of your trips will be logged well.
It is more like full automatic logging now. When you're moving and at some speed, the app will be woken up to detect if you're possibly driving and track your trips. If the app detects there's no device connected, it will start logging your trips with the mobile Activity / Motion. And if it finds there's a working device like the Health Monitor or Charger, it will start logging the trips according to the device data. We believe that in this way, the ongoing problem of lost trips will be effectively improved.
Of course, if you feel it makes you confused and annoyed, you can turn it off via Mileage Log Settings > Drive Detection Device.
When the 'Automatically' is toggled on, the app will record your trips based on its own detection, and the accuracy of your trips tracking will be improved. And when it is toggled off, you can choose a specified device you'd like to use to record your trips, so if the very device is not connected, your trips will not be recorded.
FAQs
Q1: Why my trips/parking locations were recorded when I drove another vehicle?
A: When the 'Automatically' is on or the 'Mobile Phone' is checked, the trips will be logged when the app detects your movement might be in a car. So it will happen that even you're not driving a car with a ZUS device plugged in, your trips are all recorded.
