[Installation] How to Install ZUS Vehicle Health Monitor Lite

Sign Up & Create Your Vehicle Profile

You will need the ZUS app or apps which support ELM327 to pair ZUS Smart Vehicle Health Monitor Lite.

Install Your OBD II Diagnostic Scanner

After sign up, please input the ZUS device in your OBD-II port. 
The OBD-II port is usually located under the dashboard, beneath the steering wheel column (1-3 in the diagram below). If not located beneath the steering wheel column, look for the port in the areas indicated by numbers 4-9.

The Key Points of Pairing

  1. Turn on GPS+Bluetooth+Internet on your phone.
  2. Pair the monitor in ZUS app instead of the system Bluetooth menu.

Click on  > Choose "Smart Vehicle Health Monitor" > Add "nonda Vehicle Health Monitor Lite" > Follow the app instructions to complete pairing. 



Important Note Before Using

We strongly suggest you open the ZUS app and keep your device(s) connected before using it.
*For Android users, if you disable the app that requires to run in the background, the app will be recycled by your phone’s operating system.

Tap “ Dashboard” to check real-time driving behaviors. When you are driving with the ZUS app OBD dashboard, the dashboard reminder cycle will turn into red either when your vehicle is in high Rev and speeding or you are in hard acceleration and a hard break. The dashboard can help as a reminder to develop better driving behavior.

Tap “ Finder” to locate your car
Tap “ Milage” to check your travel record



Q1. What are the differences between ZUS Smart Vehicle Health Monitor and ZUS Vehicle Health Monitor Lite?

In terms of features, there are no differences between them. ZUS Smart Vehicle Health Monitor Lite is a compressed version of the Vehicle Health Monitor.


Q2: Why does my ZUS app dashboard not showing any data after connection?

The ZUS app is supposed to show Rev, speed, turbo and other data when your monitor is connected with the app. 


If there is no data showing after you've driven more than 15 miles. We suggest you reach us at cs@nonda.us with the following information:

1. Phone Brand & Model. 

2. Vehicle brand, model and year.

3. A screenshot showing your ZUS app has no data showing from the dashboard. 


Q3: Why when my car's engine light is on but the ZUS app scanner didn't show any faulty code?

Health Monitor read faulty code based on world standard OBD-II PIDs, but some manufactures define many more PIDs specific to their vehicles. Thus, ZUS Smart Vehicle Health Monitor Lite might be not compatible with your car. You may find the incompatible list below:
