We strongly suggest you follow the below steps to complete the firmware update when you see a red dot next to your vehicle.
Warning: DO NOT unplug the Dash Cam cable or press LED button during OTA process.
Step 1: Update your ZUS app to the latest version.
Step 2: Find the firmware update entrance.
Step 3: Follow the instructions in the app to connect Dash Came WI-FI.
Step 4: When you see the "Congratulation" page, restart the Dash Came by unplugging and plugging back the power cable of Dash Cam. When you see the LED light change from flashing blue to constant white, you will know the OTA succeed.
How do I know if the update succeeded?
1. The red dot for update reminder next to your vehicle icon will disappear.
2. Click on 'My Vehicle' > choose 'ZUS Smart Dash Cam' from the devices list
You will see the firmware version page, if the OTA complete, you should see the firmware is "Already the latest version".
The ZUS app failed to send the firmware. What to do next?
If the OTA process failed, you may experience send firmware process stuck in the percentage page or ZUS app auto shut down. That is caused by an unstable wifi connection. You may follow the below instructions and manually complete the update:
1: Prepare an SD card reader.
2: Download the attachment file 'FWND658.bin' to SD card.
3: Insert the SD card into the Dach Cam again.
4: Power up the device with the USB cable, wait for 5-10 seconds. When you see the LED light change from flashing blue to constant white, you will know the OTA succeed.
